When you use baking soda for your teeth what will happen?

will it cause anything bad or will it help whiten ur teeth?
Answer:
Baking soda is good for your teeth. It makes them feel cleaner and may whiten a little but not as much as whitening strips.
If you do use it dont use it everyday
Baking soda is a mild abrasive that doesn't harm your teeth. It makes them whiter by brushing away stains. You can safely use it every day. There are even tooth pastes available that contain baking soda.
Nothing bad, but it won't whiten.Have you ever put baking soda in vinegar? It causes quite a chemical reaction. The human mouth is mildly acidic (like vinegar) and contains millions (probably billions) of bacteria that like an acid environment. When you put any base, like soda, in there, it neutralizes the acid and makes your mouth a much more hostile place for bacteria. Many dentists advise brushing with a salt and soda combination. Mine told me to put extra soda on regular toothpaste. It helps kill bacteria and thereby prevents them from decaying your teeth. That's the real point. One of your other respondents said to not do it everyday. He's wrong. Do it two or three times every day. They won't be whiter, but they will be decay-free.
