I've been told that I can get free insurance for actors or something low-cost. I'm barely making ends meet and I'm not sure where to go and I need health insurance right away very badly. I've been told the only way that's going to happen is if I'm a minority (which I'm not), so is this true or am I chasing my tail around?

Is there not a Screen Actors Guild for you to join? Wouldn't they have something affordable in a group rate? I was hoping this to be true because my daughter will soon be finishing her schooling from an acting academy in NY and will need to look into such things for herself.
