Where in the mouth do wisdom teeth come in?

A few years ago i had the back tooth on the top left taken out and a tooth grew up in its place only it was a little bit further back than the original tooth that was taken out.maybe the length of half a tooth back.was this a wisdom tooth??do they come up under existing teeth or do they start to come up too far back in the jaw that causes the pain and problems??thank you
Answer:
The wisdom teeth are the last to come in, at the very last space that is left in the very back of your jaw. What is likely to have happened is that your wisdom tooth has moved somewhat into the empty space where your tooth was extracted. This is normal, in the case of the wisdom tooth: I do not think anything needs to be done, but do consult your Dentist next time you visit, and see what he/she will advise. The wisdom tooth will not come up under another tooth, and it will only move if there is an empty space next to it.
Now I'm not dentist, but I'm sure they are the teeth that come in alllll the way in the back of your mouth...like...in the last possible spot a tooth could possibly grow. My dentist said I have a big mouth, so I didn't need to have them taken out. haha.
They come way back in the gum and mine were very painful even after they were completly through I had them pulled out. They have very short roots and come out easily.
At the end, but they cause more damage than good, have them removed once they are fully grown.
in the back of the mouth...i think %26lt;3
Wisdom teeth are otherwise known as third molars, as they are "supposed" to come in behind your existing molars. Many times the wisdom teeth aren't correctly positioned and will cause problems. If the second molar was removed, the third molar may move forward somewhat. I think that many of us just don't remember how painful a new tooth coming in truly is.
Hi!
i need to know how old you were when that top tooth you mentioned was taken out..and how old you are now...youre referring to wisdom tooth as the third molar which grows in areaafter the second molar...
Third molar or wisdom tooths normal eruption is 18-23yrs.. so if your tooth be it second or first molar was taken out---before your were 18--you really would have a new tooth growing out when you reach the age i mentioned above---as long as your wisdom tooth is not impacted or cannot grow out or erupt for some reasons like its horizontally positioned or another tooth is in the way of its path of eruption.. etc
yes, it causes pain and sometimes slight fever ..
wisdom are the last 4 top 2 bottom 2
