Which is worse, brushing without flossing or flossing without brushing?

Answer:
Sorry but most of these folks are not thinking it through. Flossing is so much more important than brushing (cavity wise) -- Reason: Where do you get cavities? From sugar impregnated food remnants that get impacted between your teeth? Also, where does oral bad breath come from? Impacted food that has actually decayed between your teeth?Have you ever seen rotted food stuck to the middle surfaces of your teeth? Why not? Your tongue is trained to constantly explore your teeth and in fact the rest of your mouth (even the back part of your mouth, including the roof of your mouth. However your tongue cannot get between the teeth.( In the past we used tooth picks or regular sewing string to clean between our teeth.)PS: Eating a crisp apple or some other fresh vegetables like carrots and cauliflower will also help to brush your teeth.
Both are required for healthy teeth and gums. If you can only do one, I'd say brushing is the choice.
flossing without brushing.
Both are pretty gross,though.
FLOSSING WITHOUT BRUSHING!
flossing with out brushing
Neither - you should always brush and floss.
It better to brush and not floss. Just to let you know should only floss between the teeth you plan on keeping!
I think flossing without brushing is worse. It's gross to just floss and not brush, you'll still have morning breath. You'll kill more bacteria with brushing, than with flossing.
Flossing without Brushing!!Flossing only gets stuff out from between your teeth. It won't remove the plaque on your teeth, or even freshen your breath. Sometimes when you floss, what isn't on your floss just gets moved to another place in your mouth. So definately brush, even if you can't floss.
flossing without brushing would be the obvious...
flossing without brushing. DUH!
I'm pretty sure flossing without brushing. You should brush your teeth three or two times a day. You should floss everyday too, but I barely ever do.
Flossing without brushing...becuz what happens to the c**p you floss out? You need to brush it away dude!! X
I would floss. Food caught between teeth causes cavities. My dentist has a plaque in his office which says, "You don't have to floss all your teeth, just the ones you want to keep." But yuk! Why would anyone have to make the choice?
Both are NASTY. But the one nastier is flossing without brushing, for all the possible reasons I would have said are already up there.
BRUSHING WITHOUT FLOSSING! The tissue between our teeth is weaker than the tissue you brush b/c this tissue does not have the keratin that helps protect our skin and the tissue we brush. Thus, the tissue most people fail to floss and clean get sicker faster resulting in periodontal disease/boneloss for most people. The areas between our teeth are not cleaned by our tongue, saliva, water we drink, gum, etc. Everything we eat and drink actually can help keep our teeth clean except for inbetween them.
flossing without brushing
I never floss. No one I know flosses.
